10. Activate a Project

Welcome to step ten of the getting started guide, Activate a Project. If you missed part nine feel to search 9. TimeSheets.

This guide pertains to activating your project so you can start working.

When you first log in to InScope you will likely land on the projects screen. From the projects screen, select the project you want to activate.

Once you are in the project you want to activate, the first step is to make sure you have a project manager assigned to your project in the project info tab of your project. If you don't the activate a project button will be grayed out and you will be unable to activate the project.

After you confirmed or selected the project manager, make sure the project scope, schedule and budget are they way you want. Then go ahead and click the blue activate project button just above the sockets as highlighted below.

You will receive a notification confirming you want to activate the project, removing it from pursuit status and allowing individuals to charge time and expenses to the project directly.

Congratulations! Your project is now activated and you will receive an email confirmation that you have now activated your project.

You have now completed all of the Getting Started Guides, and should know most of the ins and outs of managing your projects and getting them started. We recommend playing around in the platform on a demo project to learn some of the things we may not have touched on in this guide or checking out some of our other articles to learn some other features you may have interest in.

Have fun, and most of all keep your work in scope!
