How do I assign a unit to a category? (Personnel, Expense, Equipment)
1) To assign a unit to a category start from the Projects screen, then click on system in the top navigation bar as shown below.
2) Once in the system tab go ahead and click the Categories heading in the left navigation bar.
3) Once on the Categories screen you will be able to scroll down to view and edit your company's Personnel, Expense, and Equipment categories. The categories are grouped into Personnel, Expense, and Equipment tables as highlighted in bold above each table. You can edit a category to change its name or unit assigned to it by clicking the blue edit button to the right of the category you want to modify. You can also delete a category by clicking the red delete button to the right of the category you want to delete.
4) To add a new category, scroll to the bottom of the table you want to add to. (Personnel, Expense, or Equipment). You will see a green box that says Add new category. Simply enter a resource name in the empty category name field highlighted below. Then you can choose a unit to add to the category in the drop down unit box next to the category name field to show how this category is measured. Once you have the fields entered be sure to save by hitting the green save button next to the fields.
5) That's it. Your new category will be added and you'll see it in the designated list.
